EEP Mekong

Funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, EEP Mekong Programme will run until 2018. The Programme aims to increase its impact and effectiveness by narrowing its focus on increasing and improving access of rural population to sustainable and affordable energy services and products in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. The Result-Based Financing Scheme and Human Right-Based Approach are strategically integrated into the Programme and Projects implementation. EEP Mekong collaborates with government partners in five countries. EEP Mekong Regional Coordination Unit is locatedin Vientiane, Lao PDR. See EEP Mekong government partners.

        Energy Audit in the Pulp&Paper industry of Vietnam – audit review discussion The “Strengthening Capacity on Climate Change Initiatives in the Industry and Trade sectors” project (CCIT) is being implemented by Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) of Vietnam, during 2013-2017 with support from UNDP Viet Nam and the UNDP Low Emission Capacity Building (LECB) Programme. The project objective is to strengthen the capacity of policy makers and stakeholders in the industry and trade sectors to reduce GHG emission through development of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA), enhance climate change resilience and exploit associated green trade opportunities.
